Mississippi River Trail, Inc. has been submitted as a Proposed National Park Service Centennial Project! Three key national parks and two regions of the Rivers, Trails Conservation Assistance Program chose the Mississippi River Trail as one of their projects. Senators, congressmen and other elected officials along the corridor have been submitting letters of support!
Many thank you's to Rep. Steve Cohen from Tennessee for volunteering to lead the effort by encouraging his peers in bordering legislative districts to support the effort! A list of elected officials who have sent letters will be forthcoming soon!
