Join us in completing, supporting and protecting the Mississippi River Trail. Alternate transportation resources are becoming more critical as environmental indicators point to serious and severe consequences of global warming. The Mississippi River is a national treasure and needs our protection. Through trail use, Americans can enjoy the River’s historic significance and scenic beauty while learning ways to protect its natural resources.
Development of the Mississippi River Trail requires significant coordination at all levels of government. Governors, senators, and congressman play an important role in providing funding for trail development and ensuring wise use federal and state dollars on projects with high levels of public support. Your advocacy for the Mississippi River Trail is a primary key to its completion.
From time to time, you may want to send a letter or make a telephone call to your legislators along the corridor. To make this process easier, Mississippi River Trail, Inc. is providing a complete contact information list of governors, senators, and congressional representatives in the states and districts through which the Mississippi River Trail travels.
